Teaching a new song in Primary can be such a fun and meaningful experience, and a music flip chart makes it even easier! It’s a simple but powerful tool—a set of big, easy-to-read pages (either printed or digital) that help kids follow along with the lyrics. Many flip charts include pictures or symbols to bring the words to life, making it easier for children to remember and connect with the message.
As you lead music time, you can flip through the pages in rhythm with the song, helping the kids stay engaged without feeling overwhelmed. Flip charts are especially helpful for introducing a brand-new song or giving a little extra support with tricky lyrics.
For Ward Conference this month, our Primary will be singing, “I Will Shine” by Shawna Belt Edwards, which was featured in the January 2022 Friend Magazine.
